Statistics
The Mapia Online geoportals have a tool dedicated to the calculation and statistical representation of geospatial data from point layers.
To access the statistics tool, simply click on the desired layer in the geoportal’s catalog and then on the Statistics tab.
Note
The only layers that can be used for statistical studies are point layers in GeoJSON format.
The interface consists of:
- Group by menu: in this menu, you can select the subcategories by which the layer elements will be grouped: neighborhoods, districts, etc. You can load ad-hoc geometries that are not in the selector by attaching a GeoJSON layer by clicking on the clip icon.
- Palette menu: here you can change the colors of the polygons from a list of predefined color palettes.
- Groups: in this selector, you choose the number of groups/color ranges in which the geometries are grouped. The minimum is 3 and the maximum is 9. The palette colors will be assigned according to the selected number.
- Legend: Shows the color with a hexadecimal code and the minimum and maximum limits of the ranges/groups.
- Data table: a table with the data of the represented layer. They can be downloaded in CSV or GeoJSON.
