Mapes Base
Base maps serve as a reference map on which to overlay other layered data and enable visualisation of geographic information. An individual base map can be made up of varying entity, raster, or web layers and are the basis of any map that provides a geographic context and reference details to work on. These can be general purposes, such as topographic base maps, imagery or street maps, or focused on a specific theme (thematic) such as now hydrographic base maps, geological maps, etc…
The application allows you to modify the base maps from the upper right layer control or by using the lower left control.
