Drawing and measuring tools

These tools can be found in the left vertical toolbar of the point cloud working environment:

Screenshot Draw point and measure coordinates: allows you to draw a point anywhere within the point cloud and obtain the coordinates.

Screenshot

Screenshot Draw lines and measure distances: allows you to draw a line from the union of two or more points and automatically measure the distance between them. To stop drawing the line, click on the right button.

Screenshot

Screenshot Measure height: allows, similar to the previous tool, to join two or more points but vertically to measure heights. To finish drawing, click on the right button.

Screenshot Draw polygon and measure areas: in this case we have the option to draw an area from a polygon and it automatically calculates the area, as well as the distances between the points that make up the polygon. To stop drawing, click on the right button.

Screenshot miscellaneous calculations: this tool allows us to choose from a wide variety of options such as the calculation of radius, azimuth, angle and even volumes of spheres and cubes.

Screenshot

Cálculo Radio: to calculate the radius, we will have to mark two points in the point cloud, which will form a line. Once we have designated the second point, the mouse will allow us to create a circumference, larger or smaller, depending on how it suits us. This can be applied to any structure whose radius we are interested in knowing.

Screenshot

Azimuth calculation: we mark a point and calculate the azimuth with respect to north. After the second click, the result is displayed on the screen.

Screenshot

Angle calculation: measures the angle between segments. We designate the segment with two points, and the third one will be the one that gives us the three angles.

Screenshot

Cube Volume: allows us to place a cube in the point cloud. Once we have placed the cube, we will have the following options, explained by groups of buttons:

Rotate the cube on itself (Buttons 1): Buttons 1 allow us to rotate the cube on itself in different directions in a range of 360 degrees.

Increase area (Buttons 2): Buttons 2 let us increase the area of the cube either along the x-axis or the y-axis in both directions.

Rotate cube up or down (Buttons 3) the 3 buttons move the position of the cube in space both on the x-axis and y-axis in both directions.

Enlarge side (Buttons 4): the 4 buttons enlarge one side of the cube, making it easier to work with the cube.

Screenshot

Volume Sphere: its options are the same as the cube, and you work with it in the same way. The only difference is that in the centre it is not present when the volume is occupied, but in the cube it is.

Screenshot Delete measurements: we can delete all the measurements made from the red cross option.
